Rosalie Hale (born Rosalie Lillian Hale) is the adopted daughter of Carlisle and Esme Cullen, Emmett Cullen and partner. Became a vampire when Carlisle saved her life after several men, including her boyfriend, Royce King II, beat her, leaving her to die. After becoming a vampire, she sought and killed, but without ingesting their blood. Rosalie does not like being a vampire, mainly because it has a strong maternal instinct, and can not bear children. She is described as incredibly beautiful, besides being very stubborn. During the first books in the series, Bella Swan Rosalie does not approve of his family, but the two come together after Renesmee Bella gets pregnant.
